Hi, names Chris, just found this site from a link from another. Thought I would join up. I'm in UK in Essex and have a 1966 Charger with 383 4bbl, 4 speed manual trans, Suregrip. Car is in its original paint with a few scrapes and dings here and there. It was a Portland OG car from new till 2014 when it came over here. I have Certicard, 1st owners purchase receipt, window sticker, build sheet, check sheet as it left the factory. Was built 4/25/66. Car is mostly original except the engine is replaced with a year correct (Dec 66) 383. I know the 2nd owner in the 80's swapped the og engine for a 440 and have paperwork for the rebuilt 383 from 1996, it was never completed and sat till 2014 when it was finished and fired up for the first time!

good luck with the cool gen 1 Charger

Thanks guys, yes it's original paint, it has worn through on the edges from being cleaned over the years and the roof has bleached though to the undercoat on the roof. Apart from little scratches all over biggest scrape is that behind drivers side rear wheel which the owner in the 80's did as I googled names and called her. This is also how I found out about the 440 swap. She said her and her now deceased husband took it to car shows back then. The only technical repaint is the trunk lid which has crazed. On the factory check sheet it mentions the tank lid paint so it must have gone back in to be done. Underneath it looked like it had never been touched, still factory under seal on everything under there. So been going through getting bushes, shocks etc etc changed. Need to address the springs next.
