I'm also looking for new tires this year. Im currently running 275 50 15 bfg drag radials. They seem to hook good but my 60ft times are around 1.90. I think my mph is good at 108 pretty consistently. Anyone using 3.55 gears and drag radials with a better 60ft times.
My combo is a 440 30 over10.6 compression, stock forged crank and rods. Sorry I don't mean to hijack the post, just wanting to buy the best tire for my combo, like we all do.

At 108 you're doing pretty darn well. The 60' look very slow, either you have minimal traction or you need a much better converter (I'm assuming auto). Run the biggest BFG Drag Radials that fit. They work great.

FYI, I did a back to back test with my BFG 325/50 x 15 Drag Radials and my buddy's 10.5 x 28 x 15 Hoosier slicks. No difference. The Drag Radials work great. I have gone with slicks on the track just to save the BFG tires for street driving.
Mickey Thompson 315/60R-15 drag radials have been discontinued. If you check the Summit and Jegs site they're no longer listed. I phoned Jegs a couple of days ago and they confirmed this, however, they have 4 in stock @ 184.00 each.
Stuart coupe looks good, when you going to paint it?
