Priced too high? 1966 Satellite with some cancer

I wish I lived where you guys live, where all these cheap, rust free cars are.
rust free cars do not go cheap relatively speaking but when you consider the amount of work involved to fix a rusty car, the rust free car becomes cheap. The rust free car I bought a year ago is nothing more than a rolling shell. There's not even a dash or any glass in it. I have it though....

There also is a question, does the guy want a rust free "shell" that needs hours, months to put together? Or does he want a somewhat "rusty" car that he can drive. Don't know his skill level. And I agree a rust free shell is a great thing, but I was just looking at if he wants to put a car back together.

The car being complete and of the right configuration for my project is worth something for sure. I don't mind time in repairs. The beauty is in the creation of it. However I think I can afford a better foundation that's still complete.

I bought a 69 Satellite with lawn mowing money when I was 14 out of a junkyard for $350 with dents on every panel and rusted out trunks/floorboards that I never could do anything with because of my age/skill/resources.
If I had that same car now I'd have no problems with it. Exterior body panel repairs are just tough....

I think I'm going to pass on it for now.... I'd feel a ton better about $2k than I do $2600.

I think it's a good price. Mine was in worse shape when I got it. car on 8-12-12.jpg

Well seller just emailed me and said hes upping his price back to $3k because the car he was wanting to buy has sold. So definitely passing on it now.
On a positive note, I finally got around to machining my exhaust housing for my DIY turbo build for my cummins today! [emoji106]
New turbine fits beautifully (some said it couldn't be done). Just need to order up the rebuild kit and compressor housing/wheel and I'll have a reworked factory turbo capable of 650whp.... [emoji12]

This is why I NEED a project car.... If I don't have something to wrench on, I do things like this to my daily driver!

Still on the hunt for a good project. Need to do a little soul searching and figure out what I really want. Y'all have been great help, glad to be back on a real car forum. Can't stand the diesel crowd!

Problem is we've got the cars, but you guys have the parts! :) It drives me nuts when I check out the craigslist for my old hometown, Pittsburgh, and see all the great deals on parts that I need down here in FL.

Yup.

I moved from Ohio- rust on the bottoms of the quarters and the wheel wells...

To Florida- rust around the windshields, in the drip rail, and in the cowl and trunk gutter.

:(:(:(

I'd be happy to supply you with any rust free sheet metal you might need. : ) There is a Plymouth parts car in my future.
