Thinking about putting a center console in my 73 charger, is anything required besides the console itself?

You'll need the mounting brackets for sure. Originally their welded to the floor pan of the car the console came from but you can fab a set if your talented and bolt them in if welding is not your thing. The shifter is not an issue if it's a single cable type but a hole will have to be made in the floor pan to route it through. The electrical's to the console will include lighting which goes to the door switches, panel lighting for the light switch and possibly reverse or neutral safety switch.

3 brackets and a shifter boot, not to mention the shifter.
Here is a pic of mine (73)

Exactly the answer I needed! Thank you! Shifter isn't a prob, already in place, the only issue I can see will be fitting it around the hurst quarter stick. But scored the console, door and top plate for a price I couldn't pass up on. Again, thank you!

They rattle, collect junk, and can have mis-aligned doors. Also add weight. I say no console. Drill less holes and spend money elsewhere.

I can send you a couple larger pics if you like. But those are basically it.
