In the process of converting my 70 RR Convertible from manual to power windows (purchased a kit from Nu-Relics). Anyway got the regulators in the two doors changed out without to much trouble but how to get the rear ones out is a mystery. Looks like the widow has to be pulled out with the regulator attached.....must be a way to disengage the regulator from the glass but can't see how to do it....any tips/suggestions from someone who has removed the rears from a 70 B Body convertible before will be appreciated. There must be way just have to find it.....LOL

thanks

I know the rear quarter glass stays attached to a "window frame". Based on the size, I'm pretty sure you have to pull it up & out through the slot where the window goes in the quarter panel. It certainly isn't coming out through the small hole inside the rear quarter.

By the way, how much did you pay for the Nu-Relics kit? I've been piecing together the parts to do this same conversion for a few years. As I'm sure you found out, the regulators for the rear windows are pretty darn rare.

If you get really stuck, let me know and I will pull out my 1970 Service Manual.

There is a snap ring on the q/p side of the quarter window. You won't be able to see it. You should be able to pry it off with a screwdriver. This will allow you to separate the window from the regulator. Then you can squeeze out the window first, then the regulator.
