Hello,

I have always wanted a Mopar convertible, so now at 50, I was able to buy a total project 69 Coronet that I'm wanting to completely restore. I don't know the terms or the lingo, but I'm so excited I can hardly think of anything else. I bought a 426 Hemi to go in it, and I'm looking for many other parts that I'll need like a complete interior, etc, etc...
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

over your head is a good place to be....you will be fine with the people here....any pics?

Welcome to fbbo.
Convertibles can be a challenge to restore due to the fact that not as many of them were made.
I restored a 70 coronet vert in three years and it was like you said that it was all ways on my mind
If you need the name of a parts locator let me know
Good luck with your project
There is a lot of knowledge here and a great bunch of guys willing to share it

Welcome! A few places are starting to reproduce some of the convertible specific parts. BE&A http://www.beaparts.com/online_catalog.aspx has some trim pieces and top latches, plus seat medallions.
Do you have the standard dash or the Rally dash? The Convertible top switch used with the Rally dash is pretty hard to find.
Standard or power windows?

Welcome aboard FBBO. :hello2:

If it's any comfort, I spent 3 years restoring a running reasonable looking car....and it turned out better than expected. Good luck with your search for parts, and do not be afraid to ask for help here. :icon_thumleft:

BTW....pictures of your car and parts will earn you more friends. :icon_cool:

You picked a good placed for info. A lot of great knowledge here....just ask! Glad to have you along with the rest of us Mopar Fanatics.
That Hemi will make for a super sweet machine. Best of luck!

Congrats and welcome home... you could not be among a finer set of people... enjoy the dream... and great choice!

Welcome to the Mopar Madness ! ! !

I'm in the middle of my 1967 Belvedere Convertible build, and learning along the way too . . . Great bunch of guys/gals here that are willing to answer your questions - don't be afraid to ask.

Good luck on your project - break it down into little projects and tackle them one at a time so the whole project does not become overwhelming . . . Have Fun !

Take your time and don't get discouraged.Ask lots of questions.I am doing one right now and am close to paint.Check out my thread. If you need stuff just ask, lots of great help on here.

Welcome, a ton of information is on this website as well as a ton of people with the know how! Good luck with your project, sounds like its gonna be a cool one.

Good luck with your project and welcome from Alaska! This site is lovingly referred to as Mopar University and with good reason. I have been working on cars for 45 years (mostly Chebbies) but Mopars are different. There isn't the mass of after market repro stuff to fix our treasures and you have to rely on friends, Craig's list and the FBBO members for some parts and technical expertice. This group of FBBO members has been extremely helpful with the knowledge they are willing to share and the parts that most of them horde left over from their builds. As an example, two weeks ago I broke the lower shock post off of the rear spring perch on my '69 Coronet. Probably not hard to find in junk yards but may not be reproduced by the after market. I mentioned it on a thread and immediately got a PM from a member offering a replacement for just the cost of shipping! (Thanks Greg!) These guys really care about the other members and bringing these old Mopars back to life. Have fun with your build and don't hesitate to ask....these members know what they are talking about and can help.

Welcome from Canada!
I'm in my own quicksand with my 64 convertible! Learning as I go with lots of help from the great folks here. It's all fun (well maybe not all of it!)

Good luck!
