For any of you on Facebook. this is the shop that has the car. I expect there will be updates from time to time

https://www.facebook.com/Driven-Performance-189080647921324/?ref=eyJzaWQiOiIwLjYyMjI3MDEzNjgzNzY4NDciLCJxcyI6IkpUVkNKVEl5UkhKcGRtVnVKVEl3VUdWeVptOXliV0Z1WTJVbE1qSWxOVVEiLCJndiI6IjI5ZjRhZGI2NjcyZTMwYTBjYzA2ZDA0ZTQxM2JhMDFlYzgzODg1MmYifQ

So halfway through Day 2 of the work on the roadrunner and just got a call from the shop telling me the T56 is already up into place seeing where the relief cuts to make room will be made and how we are going to modify the cross member and add stability. I'll get some pics Friday but we are also going to use this opportunity to add frame connectors and a driveshaft loop.

All the "saleable" items have been removed from the car including pieces from the engine that I will be swapping out for the procharger (Carb, intake, etc...)

and my Dropped spindles and double adjustable upper control arms have been installed.... which is awesome... BUT!!! It looks like I have a line on a control freak front setup that will just need a few parts and a little TLC. Not going ahead with the control freak setup right now but it may be in future plans. Unfortunately this WOULD have been the key time to get it in but I have to wait for it to come out of a buddies car when he replaces his which could take some time.

Completely impressed with how far the shop is in only a day and a half

Good reason to hire a pro, been there done that = quick turnaround. Awesome to hear it's moving along quickly.

Got my first look at my custom Dakota Digital VHX guage cluster today,

I had them to it in KPH since we use the metric system in Canada and using a GPS sensor for speedo since my new tranny didn't have a sending unit. Also have a sensor for boost and outside temp. I chose the black with red back lighting but there are a few different options.

It came in about $300 under what I was quoted which is awesome.

This was an original core out of a 69 RR that was in rough shape and I picked up for $50 with a WTB ad.

I am super happy with the end result!

That looks killer Goon, one more worry off the list.

Thanks Dev I'm loving it and totally happy with my choice as I was originally going for the silver background.

So updates from today the tranny is in and no relief cutting had to be made to my tunnel at all. The shifter actually popped up right in the hole. The problem right now is everywhere Greg wants to tie the crossmember in he is unhappy with the torsion bars. So we're looking at a couple different options we can discuss tomorrow and see which way we go. Sounded like trial fit of the Procharger also started today.

I'm going to visit the car tomorrow so expect pics

Looks Great Goon ! ! ! I think that will work nicely in your car ! ! And boy is it going to look SWEET ! ! !

Those look sweet, easy to read when the boost effect comes in to play. Certified for FER RACIN....

Some update pics.

Without touching too much on what's what the Tranny has been mocked in and I was wrong earlier the shifter hole doesn't mount up (new shifter hole cut) but the tranny did go up into my tunnel without any relief cuts. The cross member has been cut out and we are currently determining where we will tie the new one back in. The torsion bars are in the way of what we want to do so we are considering tying front to back with frame connector (make the car one solid frame) and no more t bars. I'll fill you in as this plays out

Procharger is mocked up and although it's close the Procharger itself is set back a little in the bracket and the crank pulley I have won't work with the bottom 2 fans in so we are having new brackets and a pulley machined.

We don't like how the Intercooler would fit as designed so cutting off the top inlet/outlet and moving them to the sides which will 90 right in.

Magnum Force UCA's and dropped spindles are in

And last but not least I got to see the car with a trial fit of the new hood. Overall I'm pretty damn impressed as the car has only been there since Monday but things will slow down soon as we start to wait on parts.

Awesome car Hyrdgoon!!!!! I saw on another post, that's an AAR hood. I'm thinking of getting one. Is it a bolt on and are you happy with the fit?

Thanks TBONE! It is bolt on but there was a screw up with my order and they shipped me lift off but still reinforced for bolt on. They're making good on it by shipping me the hardware just means we need to do the locate and drill in the brackets that the hinges will bolt to. If considering bolt on also keep in mind you need light duty hinges.

Nice project. Looking good. Are you getting the work done locally?

Thanks! Ya the guy is just outside Guelph. He's a former LMC and Boot Hill guy but works out of his own home shop now.
