My plastic A pillar trims are shot ('72 SSP), tried the body epoxy repair but one already cracked again during the installation. Am I to believe that I need to pay $175 for repos? Thank you.

If you wait until yearone is running a sale, you can generally get them between 135 and 150 but i bought a set from them and was not too impressed. The plastic is different (thicker and more plastic feel) and I had modify them slightly (Drill holes) to get them to look okay. HOWEVER, it does beat the chalky old ones I had so I can not complain too much! Maybe someone can chime in that has had better experience somewhere else.

I got some from yearone, and they went back as soon as I got them, the grain, material, and fit were terrible. I was lucky enough to find a set of originals that were in great shape so those were painted and used.

I see that classic industries now carries them, and are marked with the restorers choice icon that claims they are manufactured to meet exact specifications, so you might check with them.

Keep an eye on ebay. That's where I got mine, and they were $20 or so.

mine crumbled apart while taking them off. i was patient looking for them, and finally found a nice used set at Spring Fling for 50 bucks.

I ordered mine though Classic along with most of the rest of interior plastic. So far everything has fit well and I got it on one of their "up to 25% off" sales.

20% off Year One stuff today... Code: EXHAUST

But I'm going to say that I've really grown to dislike Year One. Their website is terrible. Like something for 1995. The website prices NEVER match the current catalog prices. They charge WAAAAAAAAAY too much for shipping. They will let you order a part, then when it never comes in the mail, you call and THEN they tell you: "Oh yeah that part is back-ordered and we're not sure when we'll get them in" - Like it would be too much to ask for them to let you know that when you order...

I've been waiting on a headliner from them for 2 weeks now and apparently (after I called complaining that it wasn't here yet) I will be waiting another 2 weeks for it because they did not tell me it takes them a month to get one made... I could have bought it somewhere else and I will from now on.

I could literally go on and on but I won't. Just know, you take your chances with those guys. Hope you find the part you need.

OK. Ordered those above from Ebay. Still one pair available for someone else. Thanks to everyone for the tips.

every guy trying to get the repro A pillar trim will be TOTALLY dissapointed. Accuform is the only piece of **** manufacturer of those.

If somebody else knows another one please let me know.

Yes, the accuform ones are total junk. There is or was another company making some of these parts, as I got a set of seat backs from a vendor on ebay, but that was 2 years ago. Sorry, I cant remember the name of the company, and cant find it in my records, but the seatbacks I got were very nice, almost thought they were NOS they were so accurate and made with the correct plastic and had correct holes and grain even the same molding patterns on the underside as my originals.

There is not another vender for the A pillars

Palco ( dash tops ) is the other plastic parts manufacturer ( wich makes "average" parts ) but they don't make them

The seatbacks you make mention were sold initially by RMMOPARRESTORATIONS ( or something like that but bussines closed ) which were the only one offering correct parts. Dunno the actual manufacturer name, but they are being sold now by Classic Industries and some other on ebay. That manufacturer actually make for E bodies plastic parts only, just that seatbacks being the same for B we get that piece too.

Initially I got accuform A pillars and rear lowers. Whats piece of ****! Had to get rear lowers because accuform is the only manufacturer offering those for 74 with seatbelts cut out.

Got kick, lower doors and seatbacks from Palco. Better than nothing but still away from a quality made product. Texture is blurry. It seems they used a worn panels to castings.

Then sold those seatbacks locally and got those you mention... WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!! These REALLY ARE CORRECT!!! The color ( white in my case ) is a bit off from the rest, but really nice made! They are really molded in color. Palco are molded in full white but then painted to get the correct white shade.

just bought a set of used a pillar trim and mint door panel bottoms 4 peaces 180 I'm very happy !! mine were crumbling bad , just painted them , they are drying now

That's a great price. Where did you get them at? I need every plastic piece there is.
