Hi all. I have a few large, heavy exterior parts I want to list, but am unsure about shipping. For example, I have complete doors for 1970 Charger and they are big and HEAVY. Also front bumper, hood and fender. If I list for sale, what is the best way to ship these types of items? Just trying to get my ducks in a row before posting. Thanks!!!

A hood might be tough, but the fender, doors and bumper should all be able to go Greyhound. One word of advice on shipping the doors: Get a thin piece of masonite and tape it to the exterior of the door and pad the edges with pipe insulation and tape the **** out of it. They like to drop doors on the corners and to a lesser degree, fenders as well. Shipping by bus is a viable, cost effective solution but YOU must protect the goods, don't expect them to handle them with any degree of care.

I've heard Fastenal is a inexpensive way to ship large parts also though I've never used them yet.

I have shipped fenders, hood, and complete rear quarter panels on greyhound just used heavy cardboard and lots of tape. I also use nylon twine an make handles for them to grab ahold of. that way the parts are carried and set on the side I choose. And always insure each piece separately.
