What are your goals for this season??

ha! replace freeze plugs in back of 273. get the cable shift in the 63 working right. find a cable shift SB 904 for th e 64.( found one 7 hrs away!) paint, find 727, get all in the 67 Bel1 and on the road, finish tin on garage addition, wire, run lines there for compressor, concrete on floor, not kill my old fool self doing all this.......

Go as fast as i can, try to win as many racers as i can going to try and run O/L 632 and defend my title as KOS Champ at monster mopar weekend and hope friends and family safe this year.....

After a pretty decent 2014 only made 2 finals with one win in 2015. Really hope to have the suspension figured out. Lots of tire spin last year, cost a me win. My entire way of looking at the tree changed last year. it was pretty consistent but to slower. Practice, Practice, Practice, been solid .0X-.1X on the practice tree so time will tell. Pulled the motor out to freshen. Getting pistons, rings, rods, bearings, lifters, valve springs, retainers, and locks. A touch more compression and a .9mm,.9mm,3mm ring pack. Found the converter was broken as well. Sooo maybe we can improve on the 9.02@151, time will tell.

I ran some 11.70's prior to any tuning or suspension work the first time out.

I want to get the car into the 11.40's where the mph says I should be.

get the car out of the garage for the first time in 3 years....all new brakes...all shocks...pick out a cam that will work well with a 3:73 or 3:91 gear....buy a 3:91 or 3:73 gear...2800 or 3500 stall ,I have both so??...If I figure that out Ill be happy.

Great ET's. Good Job

Coles County Dragway in Charleston Illinois was MY HOME TRACK DURING THE 1966-1967-1968 SEASON. I lived about 10 miles from that drag strip and owned the local speed shop (Mike Gaines Speed Sport). I have a lifetime free pass to that track given to me by the original owner, Bill Fuqua. Wow...small world

1. To get the '68 Hemi GTX together and ready for the Mopar Show in Woodburn, OR in July.
2. Get the '68 GTX tuned to make a mid 11 second pass.
3. Get the 383 finished and installed in my son's Dart.
4. Get the '71 GTX cut and buffed, glass and interior installed.

After discussion with a buddy who's rebuilding his car, we both decided to back off the idea to go big and build a couple of cars to drive and enjoy.

The R/T is going to the machine shop in a couple of months for the tear down and rebuild - when it comes out it should be around a milder 500 horse with a very strong bottom/midrange torque and new gears in the rear end with a sure grip unit. Once that is done, the wheels and tires go on and then we'll tackle wiring, radio, heater - all the fun stuff. There'll be disc brakes in front with an old school line lock, the console is coming out, new shifter going in along with some new seats. Down the road a vinyl top tear off with new paint job. Think we're going for a turquoise color - not many of them around and I think that body style looks good in that color.

My goal is to get the M/T drag radials to 60 foot as good as the bias ply Hoosier Quick Time Pro D.O.T. slicks. I took the adjustable pinion snubber off and I'll replace the Monroematic shocks with some adjustable shocks.

get my RR going with the 511 and hit the track a few times

and I need to get the hemi out of the dart at some point and tear it down for a freshen (only had rings once in the last 8 years, still on the same valve springs and bearings). thinking some changes may be in order while its apart. I'm not going to rush to put it back together this year if I do take it apart.

1) Get my Coronet in the paint shop! Painter says May1 will be the day and I still have a few things to do underneath before she is ready. 2) Lay out the holes for the scoops on hood and get them mounted. Find about 4K to finish the engine build and then start working the fast food drive in line as a gigolo to beat the fat girls out of their "Happy Meal" money! Oil field is on it's lips so I gotta get it somewhere, (the Wally World vest had already been promised to a non English speaking Pakistany!). 3)Still laying out the dolly for the K member/ engine/ tranny stand and need to work out the steering upgrade, which disc brake and dropped spindles I want. 4) Try to build my own dash for the gauge package I have envisioned....Better stop there as I am probably into fall at this point. I wish I had a driver like most of the members here, summer would be MUCH more fun!

Just waiting for the weatherman to give us warm air,55 or above one night so I can couple of test hits.I'm down to changing air bleeds.
Need to get the car on a lift, rear trans seal leaking and I think the park cable might also be leaking. Also adjust the gap on the drive shaft sensor to get that to work.Have a track date in May,hope I have the dumpers in by then~

Not really as much as my goal as it is my inention...I plan on winning..and winning a lot. I had engine issues early last summer and was unable to get to a race til late July. I won the first weekend out with the car and seen two more semi-finals before the end of the summer. I was able to score a sponsorship for the season which takes a huge load off my chest knowing i have enough cash to "play" all summer long. the first picture is the one that got me my sponsor...i posted it on facebook and it lead to my deal...the second picture is of my car with the new sponsor decal on the door.

get this damn 6 pack to run right.........

Have most done. Needed to get the roll bar installed(done), changed over to 8 gal fuel cell(done), replaced bad fuel pump(done).
Unfinished items, paint roll bar, install carpet, headliner and switch to a dominator.
None of the remaining ones will keep from going to the track which I hope to do often.

I ran some 11.70's prior to any tuning or suspension work the first time out.

I want to get the car into the 11.40's where the mph says I should be.

Happy to report I exceeded my expectations on only the 2nd time out!

11.30's @ 119 mph

3.55 gears and 2800 stall street car!

Nothing like a little success to shut up the naysayers.
