Must be gettin amp'd about bringing that monster Home! I'm guessing you have a weekend project ahead of you now!!

Gotta echo what everyone else is saying too... the overall look and color are just spot on.

Thanks Goon!!! I'm afraid I'll have to resist getting it in right away. Need to get the torque convertor ordered. Plus I want to get the brakelines, fuel lines, & electric harnesses in the front end first so will be a while. But having the engine there where I can see it will get me super motivated! Can't wait. I decided to leave today right after work to head for Jims. Big blizzard coming and I want to beat it. I won't care if I get snowed in at Jims. T minus 6 hours and counting till take off. Looks like about a 19 hour drive (1300 miles).

Thanks, I like these trips. I like to see how good of time I can make. Usually I can average about the speed limit for the entire trip if I don't have bad weather. If I run 4-5 mph over the limit the law will leave me alone. I stick the gas nozzle in the tank, go pee & grab a snack and hit the road. I can usually keep my pit stops under 15 minutes. The King would be proud!

LOL I can relate... I drive a LOT for work. By a lot I mean my company car has 132,000km (82,000 miles on it)... It's a 2015!

Same rules apply here there is a safe zone above the speed limit and I hang right around there usually on cruise if I can.

MY GPS SAYS ESTIMATED TIME OF ARRIVAL.... I SEE TIME TO BEAT!

You're gonna have a good time time chatting with Jim and Cody. They're awealth of knowledge!

Well he did make it here to Idaho safely. Made back-to-back pulls of 590 hp and 589 hp and then pulled to 6200 rpm where it was still making over 580 HP.

Just read through this thread. Amazing work. The amount of talent here proves that anything can be rebuilt better then new! I can't wait to see more photos.

It was great to finally meet Jim & Cody. They're super people. We made 2 pulls of 589 & 590hp. Jim had the 440 jetted for my alt. of 900 ft. His alt. is 4980 ft. so it was jetted 2 jet sizes bigger than needed. For a AF ratio of 9.75. It should be at 12.5-13 for max hp. So I'm sure it was 600hp +. I did find that you need to correct 1 jet size for every 2000 feet. I'll be installing O2 sensors on both banks to get it tuned to a razors edge.

I have a dyno pull video but I'm not smart enough to get it uploaded. Boy oh boy does it sound good at 5500-6000 rpm!

I was thinking of copying the washer button and putting right next to it on switch panel.

The overdrive button that is.

Might be cool to source a switch panel from a convertible. That way you could use the convertible top button for your OD.

Man you're gonna love that motor! Jim has that stock stroke 440 out producing a lot of guys' strokers.

That's what I was wanting to do HT. I like doing more with less. Good idea on the button I'll look into it.

Very nice. Congrats. Are those 1 7/8 or 2 inch TTI's ? I had Hooker 1 7/8 on my car but they don't jive with the Trick Flows angle plugs. I know I am buying TTI's but am torn between sizes. I will be curious how yours fit if you don't mind posting a review when you get to that stage.
Thanks again for the great thread.
Amazing job man!

I am torn between the TTI's and Doug's 2 inch headers.

Not to hijack but I have the Doug's 2" fitment and appearance are excellent and substantially cheaper than TTI. Save some money

PW mine are the 1 7/8 ceramic with thermal barrier on inside. Jim said the 1 7/8 would be fine to 600hp with a little more tq. The 2.0 would have a little more top end HP over 600. I have also read that the 2.0 have more clearance issues.

Also the TTIs look to have better starter access.

But the sound of 2 inch headers, OH BABY!!!

Going to see what kind of deal TTI has at Spring Fling...
