In to second month and feared setbacks exposed. Previous shoddy body work on passenger side quarter revealed. Need to get a new skin and after calls to many venders no one stocks them. All say it needs to be ordered 4-6 months timeline. 71-74's get no respect from vendors.:angryfire: IMG_0456.JPGIMG_0457.JPGIMG_0458.JPGIMG_0459.JPGIMG_0460.JPG

Looking good man . Yeah I got screwed on 1/4's too keep an eye out for a cheap parts car that's what I'm doing . I think there's a 71 on herefor sale prity cheap with good 1/4's it's blue the roof is bad he dropped his price a lot send him a msg and ask about it I may want some stuff out of it maybe we can go in on it together.

New quarter panel is now on our Bee. Somehow our guy found a new one as there were none to be had anywhere. Learning to sit back and let him handle things as he appears to have all the right connections.IMG_0483.jpgIMG_0482.jpg

Man you are lucky to have those factory 3 groove pullies with the forged crank. They seem hard to get

Also can I ask? Why not tank the gas tank out for paint and body work??

We are leaving the factory undercoating intact as the trunk and floors were solid.

Getting closer to paint. Undercarriage finished with new brakes, brake lines, shocks, refurbished springs, and front end. Rear end gears had to be replaced. New seals in power steering box. Engine was a complete surprise as only the heads needed to be machined and hardened valve seats installed. All new rings, valve train and cam and timing set were installed along with a new oil pump. The block only needed a light re-honing,no major wear at all and the crank was re-polished when found to be ok.IMG_0542.jpgIMG_0540.jpgIMG_0543.jpg

I can hardly wait till you get it together! What a great looking car!

Is that 2 blue cougar eliminators under the clear plastic covers?

Headed in to get the rest of our car painted. Guide coats sanded away, final primer going on then paint. All doors, hood, decklid, front and rear valences have been polished ready for re-assembly.IMG_0583.jpgIMG_0585.jpgIMG_0584.jpgIMG_0581.jpgIMG_0582.jpg

That's going to look great. Really like the color. Great work.
