Although I'm a dyed-in-the-wool b-body guy, I don't know much about anything newer than '66, so here goes. I'm hoping to buy a shed full of assorted Mopar parts, and in the mix is a lift-off hood. It looks original to me, but is there a way to tell if it really is original? I want to make the man a fair offer, but I don't want to pay too much either.
Thanks in advance!

bee or runner hood?
the originals had a air box under it that mated to the aircleaner
the best way would be to get a clean pic of the underside
and post it up and compare.

The hood should fit a 68 or 69 bee or RR or GTX. Not sure if it fits the 70 or not. I have one on my GTX. There are no numbers on the hood that I can see. It's an original and is a pretty solid heavy fiberglass. I don't know how you tell if it's original equipment.

Might be a Pentastar somewhere?? Look

I had a similar question about the hood when I bought my 69 RR with a F/G hood. I'll try to move it up here, as there is some good info/pics on it.

Check the thread just above this one. Good info on how to identify an original six pack factory hood.
