i got some from a friend wow works AWESOME !! next best thing I've used is mineral sprits mixed with trans fluid 50/50 mix

I tried the mineral spirits and ATF mix with very little success. So far "PB " Blaster is the best I have found. I would like to try kryoil to compare, but the only place I have found it is from Eastwood and I don't want to buy a gallon plus shipping. Who else has it?. BTW Liquid Wrench works pretty well..................................MO

It's the best I've ever used.

Been using it for years
The mechanics on the F-22s use it all of the time.
It is BIG in the aerospace world.

I've been a Industrial Mechanic and Maintenance Manager for over 20 years and we use it in our shops all the time. Works great just let it soak with multiple applications on very stubborn stuff. Only commercially available but can get it from McMasterCarr in spray, or can.

It is the best I've ever used of anything.
Yes we used it in aero space for years.
Good luck getting them sell it by the gallon.
Last I tried to buy it as an individual, I ran into some road blocks.
Commercial only IIRC.
That Amazon link is for only 8 oz.

Best stuff that I've ever used . . .

Bought a gallon of it years ago, and still got it sitting in the shop - so it's there when I need it . . .

I have used it for years at work and IMO it is one of the best penetrating fluids out there. I have two 6 0z. cans in my cabinet along with PB blaster and WD 40. the best way to use it is to let it soak overnight.

I worked for G.E. on alot of power generation equipment, Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, etc. We used Kroil to get just about everything apart
and while it didn't work on all things "stuck", it was the best penetrating fluid I ever used. Kroil & Heat! What a combo.

been posted around the sites: use acetone instead of mineral oil
Penetrating Oils Comparison study done by Machinist's Workshop magazine in their April 2007 issue looked at different penetrating oils to see which one did the best job of removing a rusted bolt by measuring the pounds of torque required to loosen the bolt once treated. If the study was scientifically accurate, it turns out a home brew works best! Go to the article itself for full details on test. Here's the summary of the test results:
None ..................... 516 pounds

WD-40 .................... 238 pounds

PB Blaster ............... 214 pounds

Liquid Wrench ............ 127 pounds

Kano Kroil ............... 106 pounds

ATF-Acetone mix.............53 pounds

The Automatic Transmission fluid (ATF)-Acetone mix was a "home brew" mix of 50 - 50 automatic transmission fluid and acetone. Note the "home brew" was better than any commercial product in this one particular test. Note also that "Liquid Wrench" is about as good as "Kroil" for about 20% of the price.

I read that same info. I tried the ATF + acetone . It does work to some degree, but maybe a little better than WD40. Sure wasn't near what PB blaster or Liquid Wrench will do. I don't see the point from mis-information from the "experts"...............................MO

Figure a peer review magazine with nothing to gain from advertisers saying the home brew better than their product . . . Not sure on the science part of the test as they don't mention in the article how many of the controls they tested to verify consistency, but I have it mixed up in my oilier can and is my goto product as well as my torch.

Can't say enough good things about kroil. I like to pre-soak any threaded areas that need loosening. The difference between kroil and other products is noticible. Kano makes many different products, all of them work well. I like the kroil with silicone. Here is some of my stash:
