Some 69 roadrunners had duel snorkel air cleaners. Mostly Califorina built cars.

Not necessarily California built car but cars sold in CA. A car built at the LA plant and sold in AZ would not have to have the N97 package.

Yes. IF it was sold in CA, which it appears to have been, then it would have the N97 noise reduction package that included the dual snorkel air cleaner.

I'd try and clean it up, leave the mags on, drive it and enjoy it.

Another reason this site is so great. Learned something new today. I have never seen a 68 - 69 RR with anything but an unsilenced air cleaner.
 
Welcome aboard over here too! Once you get the car dialed in we could plan a beach cruise over the summer. I have a friend in Carlsbad with a black 70' RT Charger who would join us. Pretty fun watching all the rubberneckers when some muscle cars drive by on the beach.
