I have devised a custom right side Poly 318 exhaust manifold. I wanted an improvement of the poor exhaust pipe routing to make a dual exhaust system on a 62-65 B body. I have made a rear dump manifold to mirror the drivers side, where the pipe runs directly toward the gap between the transmission and torsion bar. This will enhance flow efficiency at the manifold, and get rid of the sharp angles of the pipe routing. I have made a few extras, and will offer the manifold at $200 plus shipping. PM me if this sparks your interest for your car. One of the questions I am left with is, why didn't the factory come up with this? See the photos . I offer this first to FBBO viewers.
Cheers, Red

Damn, that is pretty nice.....on a side note, this is fbbo, not fabo, lol!

Foul vowel is gone. Side note, there is no love lost on the absence of the heat riser.

Very cool. I'll be forwarding this to my Poly obsessed brothers.

You do know the Poly was quite common in B bodies up thru `66 in the lower 48...and `67 in Canada, right?

Thanks for your comment. Yes, you are correct, and I am fully aware of that application, and this would work on the later B. I was simply introducing this to the largest audience first. To the Canadian crowd, I can deliver a manifold to Vanc to trans-ship, and save some cost on shipping.

Oh hey, I just noticed that you're in Seattle. I was just there last week. Love that city. We make it your way a couple times a year so I can look you up if we need one.

Great idea - PM sent. Have you installed it yet - Does it help with oil filter access? I have the spin-on adapter and oil filter access is still a chore. Always have to lift it out from above.

:D

The pipe connects behind the filter, so access is very clear.

Nice.

I can only imagine what it costs to prototype and cast a new part in iron.

Hello two plus years later. Do you still sell the reconfigured right side exhaust manifold? I have a 63 Plymouth looking to put headers and new exhaust system on until finding serious hassles with headers for this car. Thinking option to port/polish the manifolds instead and your design looks like a great idea. Thanks, Ron H.

I would send him a pm. I contacted him last year about it, he said he had some and would get back to me. Nothing but crickets so I went with headers.

I have 3 pair of stock ones, do you take them in trade, or buy them? Would like one for my Poly. Will PM.

I have two ready to go right now.
Hello I tried to send a pm but not sure if it reached you. I want to purchase the manifold if you still have. Ron h.

Red, I'm building a 65 poly/727 to push my 56 Dodge (as a steady cruiser) that we are restoring at Glenn See's Garaj Mahal in Maryville, TN. Looking at pros & cons, we think the best choice is a set of exhaust manifolds from you. Can you still fill this request--I notice no activity to this thread for over a year. New to this forum, I see the rule of no email or telephone, but to do a private conversation ??? Just how do wedo that?

Go to PM. Actually, activity has happened, but under the wire. In Process of making a new batch.
