i have a 1970 sattelite convertable 383, power top, and a/c...question is.....should i clone a road runner...or just kepp it stock being its numbers matching car ?

701 Satellite convertibles
824 RR convertibles.

You already pretty much have the RR drive train. Keep it special. Why spoil the car by adding fake decals?????

TRYING TO DECIDE...MY BIGGEST PROBLEM..ITS GREEN...UGLY GREEN.. BLACK INTERIOR AND BLACK TOP...SO VERY PLAIN. EVEN HAS 14"WHEELS AND POVERY CAPS...UGH

70 F8 is beautiful, when fresh. Lighter shades can be just as nice. I agree with leaving it a Satellite.

I'M JUST LOOKING FOR IDEAS....SOMEONE REMOVED THE SS TRIM ON THE CAR AND COVERED THE HOLES WITH OLD TIME BODY SIDE MOULDING, AND HAS NOW SET INTO THE PAINT.

I agree F8 is a great color when fresh but to my eyes, it doesn't age well. Freshen the paint.
Wheels and tires are easy to change.

Satellite! Please keep it as it came. ^ and what he said^

That's because the original colors didn't have a clear-coat, and the metallics oxidized. The F8 just kept getting darker.

Why try to make something out of it That it isn't. Dress up the Satty or get a real RR?

Sweet Sat! If that car is complete and matching as it appears. Then I would keep it original.

Vert's are to rare to be customizing an original. As others stated. That car with a fresh paint job, black pin stripe and black top/interior would be stunning.

Also How many people in the public are familiar with a Satelite? Good conversation piece.

BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IS THE RR HOOD . WHY NOT GET A RR HOOD AND PAINT IT ALONG WITH CAR THAT WAY YOU HAVE OPTION TO GO BACK AND FORTH . TAPE STRIPES CAN BE REMOVED IF YOU WANT TO GO BACK TO ORIGINAL

the question is: what makes YOU happy.

does: driving it? or what others think of it or you? worry about shorting yourself in the wallet if you sell??

me, I would keep it the sat., add a rr hood if you like, easy to change, put what wheels on it that YOU like, paint it a color YOU like, the color can always be put back to original; if anyone wants.....

you are the only one that YOU have to please!!

Yup, do what makes you happy. If you are concerned about it being numbers matching, just don't do anything that makes it hard to bring back to original.....

Original satty convert with 383 and AC, kick *** car and I would leave it, including the color.
Of course you need to do what you want with your car.

Like others have said it's your car.. But in my opinion I think it is one cool machine as it is..could always put some rally rims or something to change it up.
