66/67 belvedere/satellite/gtx project vehcile costs?

Thanks for the link to that wagon. I'll touch base with the guy and see what's the current situation.

I saw that GTX and am watching it.

I had found two GTXs for 5k but both are non running and need a lot of love. Shortly before I missed one in the same condition for 3k. Also found a Satellite (67) for the same price and similar condition but just missed one for 1500, for the question about my vagueness above (sorry about that, ever since the guy with my barracuda changed his price, options have preoccupied me).

Looks like a Belvidere I tail lights and panel on it which is probably what the car started as. The fuel filler is a pretty big deal as the quarter panel was different in this are. For the money it might be a fun project - interior looks pretty much all there.

I don't think they made 2 door Bel I's, but there seems to be a lot of swapping of those tail light extensions since the lenses seem to break super easy and repros are $$$

I'm also gonna disagree about the quarter panels being different for flip top gas caps.
I put a flip top on my 67 Wagon with no issues at all. Don't forget correct gas caps are a nightmare to find and keep. Also $$$

In my area I've noticed a surge in listings for 4 door 66/67 Plymouths.

I bought a virtually rust free 67 Bel II 4D slant with A/C for $650 last year.
Has 90% of the parts I need for my wagon including the $$$ hard to find 4D windshield
Currently there s a clean 4D slant three speed driver for $1200 with clean straight metal.

I installed the flip cap on my 67 satellite...fit perfect

depends what you want in a the car relative to what its current value is. for a car with its (66-7 B body) value, you better be prepared to do all the work yourself. otherwise look to a more desirable car , ie 68-70 B body. more $$ in it but worth more when done. costs no more to restore one than the other, just the cost of project is more.

me. I rather have a 67 bel driver, than a 69 runner I have $15-17ooo in!

66-7 sheetmetal, a JOKE!

always been partial to 66/67 B bodies......agree they are expensive and hard to find parts for....but it's only money.....

YES of course, they made 2 door Bel !'s, they are called POST cars!!! got one.
these cars are no where near the value/costs of 68-70 b bodies IMO. only downside to them is the poor quality rear patch panels. BUT you get into a b body project for so much less than what a 68-70 roadrunner costs you.
I gave $1000 for complete running 67 Bel 1 slant car, I reapirted the rear qtr and trunk ext, and some inside floor pans. pretty staright car, it is now ready for final cost. me doing all the work. have stock 400 727 to drop in. rebuild for I later with some more compression. will be a fun driver, with a low hood scoop. my toy!!!

Here's my newest project...1966, 2-dr, Belvedere-I. Not only is it a 2 door...it's a factory hemi, 4-speed car. I'll be bringing it home in a few weeks.

That is a sweet beast, mmissile. Does the cage have 45 degree braces to the trunk pan, and what are you doing for back seats? I'm debating seats shoehorned in or panel for the rear on my 67 with cage.

Question for the 66-67 crowd: did all 67 GTX have consoles and if not can you tell from the fender tag..

I almost corrected my post but I figured someone else would do it for me.

The suggestion was that a linked car, which is a 2D HT or "23" body was a Belvedere I, which as you pointed out was only available in 2 door form as a "21" body.

No rear seat in this one. It's a legal NHRA, S/S chassis, and has tubing, front to rear. I'll be building a streeter, though. It's a similar setup to my WO car.
