I was doing some repair work on the rear passanger window regulator and I dropped it. I heard something bounce off of the wall. Finally found a coiled spring on the floor. I now know where it goes on the assembly but I do not know what the orentation should be or how to reinstall it, retension it before putting it back on the window assembly. I can post a picture of the spring and where it goes, if that would be helpful.
Thanks.

Is this a 2 or 4 door? I've refurbed the quarter window mechanism on a 2 door and don't remember a spring, but it's been a while. Send over some pics.

The Dodge is a 2 dr ht. The pictures of the spring mounted, the spring was just put in place. I have no idea if the orentation of it is correct.

I neglected to add that once I mounted it, it either opened or closed the window. One wy the spring had tension ( not much) and turning the handle in the reverse direction the spring litterally fell off. Does the window need to be up or down to install the spring?

I don't know how to install it but it should help the window go up. I recently removed my front unit and found that when it was down all the way it spun the crank back around when I released it. but never had an issue when the glass weight was on it. I figured that the spring tension helped the window go up smoothly. Hope this helps.

Picture helps a lot; I was picturing a different kind of spring. I don't have the door cards installed yet so I'll see if I can get some decent pics to send over.
