69 GTX convert with a Carter AVS 4640 carb. After it sits a few days the carb drains down and it takes alot of cranking to get it to light up. Any ideas as to how the fuel is getting out of the carb bowl?
Also the second line on the fender tag Y2 Y2 P67 T7 930 109570. The first Y2 is yellow any ideas as to what the second Y2 is? I have the rest of the tag decoded but this is stumping me.

Isn't the second "Y2" the interior color?

The fuel evaporates quickly from the small float bowls. Modern fuel blends may contribute too. I put a small electric fuel pump with a momentary switch to get fuel up to the carb. Then it runs on the mechanical pump.

I've just gotten used to it over the years. Part of the "charm" of these old junkers. LOL

I prime mine when it sits with a small funnel and approx 25cc of fuel through the bowl vent. Starts right up on the 1st try.
