My Super Stock Charger

820 Horse on 91 octane pump gas, 572 Indy Hemi with some extras, maybe some nitrous later this summer or next spring once I learn the car, she is all new since last time at the track, and that was way to long ago, lol. I can see mid nines in your future!! That sticker looks like an emblem from my house! I dig the paint!!!!!!

Me thinks the funny car in your avatar MAY have influenced your decision.

yes indeed it did. 2 other cars as well, Bob Bannings Challenger funny car, and Dick landy's is the basis for the scheme as a whole. The Charger is a hard car to custom paint, somehow the ebodies take the custom jobs easier/better. I'm a charger guy so I had to come up with something, the Charger is so (beautifully) square a person really has to watch the lines, so the paint flows or fits with the cars natural lines. I love the candy greens!!!

a shot of the other lace in the stripes. The narrow dark green on the side has the same lace as the light green stripes on top, the lace in the light green on the side is also in the dark green on top. In teh one shot we were trying to get a name ( I have a few for the car, haven't decided yet which one to go with) for the car stenciled as Landy did on his cars. But for some reason it just didn't work on my car

I'm hoping to be in the 9's later this summer. I told Hughes I wanted to go fast, they said OK, we'll get r done :) I have a couple buddies with low 7 sec cars to teach me suspension set up. That and about 200 hp of nitrous should get me there. The cage is cert'd to 8.50. So we'll see how the summer goes and what next year brings. but for now I am HAPPY to be nearing the end of the build. been along long road. The car is street legal as well. We have a cruise here in Iowa in the fall. about 150 mile day, the car should make it, with a chase car with some more gasoline just in case

I tried to go with the Landy type wo23 hood that he had on his '68, but couldn't pull it off. Very unique look to it on his car. I also have considered finishing the look with the proper stickers up on the front fenders. So even though it's almost done, we all know they never are.

Are you talking about Cruise to the Woods?

The motor is finally in. All the worry about fitment, so far, was for nothing.

I love the Dandy Dick tribute paint job. Why didn't Chrysler offer this treatment??

It's almost there, but still have a few long nights in front of me. If no more surprises, I should make it...................but there always seem to be surprises, lol

I think one of the best color combo's is the gold/green like banning,or Hagen. So I'm digging the paint on your charger.
