My Turbocharged '62 Savoy 4-door

First kit is on a junk yard 318" in a demon for testing this summer on a buddies car. He was just finishing up paint for another friend and then we'll be on the turbo test mule project!

I am ready to get my 62 on the turbo band wagon. Got a few questions for you. I will message you.

I live in White Lake and sold that car to Chris X. I'm in the process of restoring a '62 Savoy wagon. I'm changing the original interior color from Cocoa to Gray (dash, mouldings, etc.). If I remember correctly, your car has a Gray interior. I'd like to see it in order to get an idea of what shade of Gray paint I need to get. Please contact me. I'm available most anytime.

Yes you are correct, the car has silver/grey interior. Motor is in pieces right now, but should be back together in a few weeks. Feel free to contact me and we can get together if you'd like to look at it again. I'd be interested to know what you know about the cars history also.

Hello duzuster I've always been intrigued on that combination, specifically, how it stay's together with a cast crank, at what RPM are you leaving the line on your trans brake, i have a 72 Dodge Colt that in its current condition it weights 1900 lbs and is begging for a small block, i looked up your turbo and found this on feebay is this your turbo ?

I can actually get it to leave pretty hard. Leaves at 4200 off the two step, shift at 6200. It's been 9.63@140mph with a 1.38 60ft on the street tires.

Yup same turbo...depending on your application there could be better options, but these are pretty hard to beat.

Wow 4200 off the line is just insane with a cast crank Dude, you obviously did something right, really would like to copy your build but in a 340 plat forum only because i have two complete motors so why not i figure, whats your thought's on the 340, and yes it would be going in a Dodge Colt

Holy crapola Scott!!! that's too frickin cool!

so lemme ax ya...you make a hair-dryer kit for slant 6's?? lol

No in Albany woth my in laws, but heading to atlantic city now.

The cast 360 crank is strong. Big main, short stroke. The key is to make sure you don't detonate it.

Hey man! It's rick in Canada. I'm new to the forum, just bought a 62 dart 4dr with a poly out of florida.
did you get any closer to putting that kit together? I AM DEFINATELY INTERESTED.love your car.
IT'S GOT ME WRITTEN ALL OVER IT!!!

Hey DIZUSTER!Just picked up a 67 440 from a friend that used to be mine. I had taken off the 915 heads and put on 906 heads, used it in a pick up,worked fine for what I needed.I think its a perfect candidate for one of your turbo set ups,it probably comes in at about 8.8 to 1 compression, with steel crank and good flow.
