I am looking to get either:

restored 1969 superbee with matching numbers 383/4 speed Vo2 paint code (2 tone roof) looks and runs great. all green with black roof

OR

1968 plymouth GTX with 440 4 speed NONMATCHING ENGINE. it is original but in great condition.

the kicker is this: I have a 75 trans am that I am able to trade in and get 23K towards the GTX and I have to pay all in cash for the super bee

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I like super bees - but I love the 68 GTX. I own a restored on and have had it for 45 years. By comparison I wouldn't get the super bee unless it was a six pack. Being able to trade your current car is a big deal. I could go on and on but won't. Hands down I'd buy the GTX if all else is as described.

even with the number non matching engine?

I would buy the Super Bee because 69's look better, but you'll have more fun with a 440 4sp.

I sure like that Bee, but the Yellow GTX is sweet too.

What did the GTX have in it originally?

it had a 440 and it still has a 440 just not the original. The bee will cost me a lot more up front and I will have to sell my trans am. Now, the trans am is immaculate/redone but the hassle of selling it is a turn off vs trading it in for the GTX

heres more pics

yellow is gtx
green is the bee

I would still go for the Bee, it's all about originality if you are into that. You'll get more for your Trans Am selling it then you would trading it in.

Only you know the answer get the one that makes you smile trans ams are fun you might want to keep it for awhile atleast. Good luck

I say again. The GTX. Hands down. Especially after seeing the pics. Trans Am trade is a bonus.
