Hi everybody! I am the owner of a 69 hemi roadrunner I bought back in January 1970. I am the second owner and I kept it all this time, not always willingly; the car gave me some small, but annoying problems with frequent trips to the dealership during the first years. Finally, back in 1972 I blew the main bearings and it was suggested I sell the car. At that time I had no offers, so I decided to keep it and kept driving it until 1969, when I parked it in my garage for about 20 years. Now it has been restored-not completely finished yet-but it will be so by year's end ( pretty sure). Now about the car: this is a pre- production car with an SPD of 7/28 and number 100013. The fender tag says' press preview' on it, B5 blue, and few other details. I have come to believe this is the first hemi roadrunner built at Lynch Road, shown to the press, and that was probably supposed not to be sold to the public. Other details are 4 speed, super trak pak, and engine number 0001. The engine and transmission are original, checked by Frank Badalson. That's all for now, folks!

wow that's cool, post up some pics of that bad boy.
Welcome from Michigan

Well guys, to start, how do you post pictures in this forum? In what format exactly?

Welcome. Wow - what a car!

Yes, we would love to see pictures and hear more about it. Note that when you post, there is a button next to the "Post Reply" that allows you to upload photos. It will then allow you to browse through your computer hard drive and select pictures.

I just have a lowly 383 4 speed air grabber car, but I love it just the same - the 1970 Road Runners are my favorite!

I do love them RR's & she's got a Hemi...LOL

It's as easy as "Drag and Drop" from a photo in your computer picture files.

Or if you have Photobucket, or another 3rd party photo page online, just copy and paste the link.
