marking correct location to install console

69 roadrunner,i want install a 4 speed console in my car has factory 4 speed,anyone know how to mark off the floor brackets in right spot to mount console, i have a factory console shifter for console as well so it has to be positioned so shifter can go thru shifts with room without hitting console especially reverse shift.any videos out there or personal restorations. thanks
