My 66 Satellite street car project

Got the modified fuel cell back from the shop today. Made a bit of a mistake with the return port location and now it wont slide down inside the frame. Going to bring it back and have the return installed by the filler tube and keep all in one area. Original plan was to not run return line into trunk area. Also had to recess the sending unit to clear the trunk floor. Going to remove and plate off fill cap, then plumb hose elbows and aluminum tube to original gas filler location.

Got the modified fuel cell back from the shop and it looks good. Added some tabs to the fuel cell cage and drilled frame for nut certs. with the new cell installed and the spare tire well removed there is a ton of room for the 3" exhaust out to the back bumper.

So I have been beating my head against the wall trying to determine the exact make and size of tire I want to run. I realized that M/T does not make the old ET Street Radial in a 315/60-15 anymore and the closest thing they have in a comparable tire (ET Street R) is a 325/50-15 that is 28" tall instaed of what I want 30" like the 315.
I found (what I thought was a set of older 315's on Amazon and the guy supposedly had 9 sets so I bought them. Problem is when I recevied them they were the right size a 315 but they were the M/T ET Street PRO's. Well these are not street tires at all and even say it on the side wall so I will start the process of trying to get a refund and I will tell you I refuse to pay for return shipping on tires that were wrongly advertised. We'll see what happens. I did get a chance to play around with them for awhile and if they were even slightly street legal I would keep them!!!

Do they have a DOT stamp??? If so run them. I had Hoosiet Quick Time Pro's on my wagon.. even went to DMV with it to verify VIN# and didnt have any issues... i would run a real tite especially if I already owned it.

After test fitting (and I know they aren't inflated) but there is still a ton of room in there and the next biggest size after a 315/60 that any manufacturer makes is a M&H 390/45-15. Why do all tire manufactures have such a huge jump in size after the 325/50 or 315/60? (315 only available in PRO version)

Measure 29.5 X 14.8 - 15 on 12" rim. Going to be tight but I think they'll go...

The 315/60 unmounted as it fits in the well. it's about 2.5"s to the frame.

2 more coats of SPI Epoxy, 3 coats Viper Bright Silver, 3 coats SPI Universal Clear. I think it looks good..

Yes, definitely looks good. What did you use for seam sealer?

Works good but sets up kinda fast, Need to work in 12" sections. Masking tape on either side of joint is needed and pull off immediately before it sets up or stings will form when removing.

Got the roll bar finished with the exception of the swing out door ends that need to be tig welded on. Going to farm that out to someone that can actually Tig Weld good. In the mean time I rosette welded them thru the side of tube for mock up
