I see some Pics of of Engines that have the ignition coil on top of intake manifold
right now my coil is on the passenger side fender. I would like to do the same and move it

want to know what it entails I have a 440, electronic ignition and a stock manifold
do I need change the manifold ? the coil get bolted to the manifold

The manifold has a provision (two tapped holes ) on the passenger side front to mount the coil.

What carb do you have? It probably won't work with a Holley. I think the coil will last longer where it's at. Less heat and vibration.

If you have room and need the bracket to move your coil let me know I have a few in the garage. But check your clearance as stated the long hollys make life difficult. Good luck

If you're using an oil filled ignition coil, you may want to check if it can be mounted horizontally - some of them are supposed to be mounted vertically to keep the windings in the oil. Mancini Racing has adapter brackets to mount one vertically on the manifold using the original bracket first, then putting the vertical mount on and mount the coil in that one. That may give you the clearance you need, if it has a Holley on it - not sure of that - just a guess.

Check out Mancini's for the ARE coil bracket like mine fits good keeps the coil up right
