We are looking for the low pressure metering valve connection. If anyone is parting out a compatible car please let me know if you have this part. We have replaced the gear box, the pump, pretty much everything but that and still do not have power steering. any advice would be appreciated.
When we bought our 66 Charger the power steering pump, low pressure hose and pressure meter it was attached to were missing. the car had been parked since 1980 and the man had passed away so the family knew nothing about the car. We assumed if those pieces were missing it had a steering issue way back. After replacing everything, even the gearbox, we had steering for a few minutes then went out. The pressure metering connection we have now came from a junkyard and had not been sealed properly so the little spring (piston type piece) is rusted and broke. We cannot locate another one.

Thank you red redcreeksuto. I called Jim's today. A little pricey for such a small piece. Will order it new if cannot locate a used one. Lmk if you happen to have a used one that has a good spring and price.
Thanks again.

It appears to be fine. Other then some buildup of gunk on the outside of the valve body I'd say its perfectly serviceable.

I need one with the big opening and the roll pin. Do you have one of those and how much..? Pat

I was just wondering if anyone had any of the original posts asking low pressure metering valve connections available.

66 cars use the 5/8" nipple, 67 & up cars use the 3/8" hose nipple
