I could.., but I'm sure others will jump in here and translate the VIN for you. In the meantime, here is a document that I found during my 68's restoration that may or may not be of some use to you...

I have a couple of more documents, I'll convert to pics and add them to your post
when completed.

Cheers :)

The car looks to be pretty original, blue with white top, org motor & trans missing. Was told it was removed in New Jersey and replaced with a 440 and drag raced. it has 13661 on odo. and is pretty rust free. I'm going to put it back as best as I can to what I removed and can figure out. Although going to make it a 4 speed car. Miss driving a standard. Putting a 1968 year 383 back in with 68 4 speed tranny.

Thanks for detail sheet,Joe

As this is a 68, the codes starting with a letter do not apply.

The rest of the text is taken from andy440.com and I'm sure he would appreciate credit. http://andy440.com/tag.htm

No back seat?

Looks like a great project!

Tow bar brackets! Man I remember them, cheaper than a trailer, they will push you around a turn when braking! Ask me how I know :steering:

Early on, when sharing collected text upon this post, I stated the contents, were that of another mopar fan. If I could have remembered the exact source, I would have included
the contact information, as a simply courtesy.

Thank-you for providing the 'original' source information and link.
I totally agree - he should get the credit for original text.

I also underlined the importance, of folks doing their own research, to ensure that information of this type, is valid for their specific application. Peace :)

I consider Andy a friend and a mentor. I am grateful he was willing to teach me. I know his passion and knowledge of the hobby and how hard he worked on the site.

I'm sure you would have credit the source had you known where it came from.

My intent was not to chide you (sorry if it came across that way) but make sure a guy that has really contributed to the hobby got the credit he richly deserves.
