I have a '62 Dodge Polar with a 383 with dual 4 barrels. I need to replace the air cleaner elements. This so say was a dealer installed option in 62. The engine combo is listed in the NHRA Specs Sheets.
I can't locate any paper elements. NAPA P/N 2030 is suppose to fit but is 1 inch taller. But I can't find them either.
Next option. Get a new Dual 4 Barrel air cleaner, but the carbs are 7 1/4 inch spacing. All I can find are 6 7/16 inch.
Last option is two small air cleaners.

If you have the paper element that is complete, contact K&N.At one time they would make any type element. They needed a core to copy.Worth a call.

Run the old numbers you may find some.

Alter cross ref. the Purolator number I got K&N E-1959 and order two.
I measured the OD of my old ones and went to the wix filter site, found the filter that was very close in size and height. went to napa and ordered it then shaped it to oval shape and used that.

k n air filter has them.

It's your car so do what you want, but I would not contemplate putting different air cleaners on it - the football filters are iconic (and worth $$ - try finding a set?!)

I went through this air filter thing a while ago and like you concluded the K&N filter is not an exact replacement as they were 1" taller and intended for the dual quad gen 1 hemi.

The only thing I found was -
Atlas Chrysler Obsolete (or MoparMall or Temecula Valley Motors or any other of their trading names) and is where I bought mine -

I looked it that. The Carbs are 4 inch as opposed the current 5 1/8 inch now. The center to center is 7 1/4 inches, so I haven't a match yet but the K&N E-1959 are on the way.

Google; Gary Goers he has them. Same as 62 300-H
