New "garage" in the works

I bought one of these toys for the barn a couple weeks ago off of craigslist. With a driveway that's well over 100' I'll definitely use the 54" wide snowblower that came with it. All I'll need is a cab with a heater.

That's a really cool tractor. I'm on my 2nd Kubota BX 26 but I have to Amit I think I like the Deer better.

Getting ready to break ground on mine, looking at these pictures I feel a bit embarrassed of what I'll be building:(.

You have to start some where and the one I posted is my 3rd and final one. Its what you make of the space you have that is important .

Update:

It's been a while since I've put up some pictures & not much has changed on the exterior. Stick interior walls with wiring and pipes just doesn't look like much & that's why no recent pictures. The electrician has finished his rough-ins, the plumber is about 85% completed with his & the central vacuum guy is almost done as well. The last sub we need is the HVAC guy to run his ducts. Once all those are done, it's insulation and sheetrock.

We've been given the go-ahead by the building dept to sheetrock the elevator shaft & machine room & once that's done I can install the elevator. The project has been moving slower than I had anticipated, but I'm hoping that withing the next couple of weeks, some progress will be made.

RC, I just went through your whole thread and that is going to be awesome! I love those old buildings. So much history and craftsmanship. Good for you. Great vision for sure. Cant wait to see finished product.

A couple interior shots. Some of the View attachment 354329 View attachment 354329 elevator parts have been delivered

So are the lights all LED now? Just wondering what sort you're using with those big heat cans in the ceiling. :thumbsup:

Damn that's a great looking setup.

RC LOOKS TO BE SOME DECENT CARPENTRY & ELECTRICAL WORK TOO

Nice & clean, tight or straight {in the photos anyway}
I like that aspect, rare in todays world of go & blow contractors,
seems most are all there for money, in & out no care for quality...

Yeah, all the light bulbs are going to be LEDs. We just picked out all the fixtures last week.

Looks great, RC! Replaced all of our lighting with LED's and boy does it save money. Since building the addition, our energy bills have actually gone DOWN. LED lighting is the only change.
