Some of you know I've had this 68 GTX for 45 years since I was 18 years old. Drove fast and loose for 10 years than moved to join corporate America. Stored the car in various places for 35 years as I traveled the country for work and the world for pleasure. Always in the back of my mind was restoring it to its former glory. Started the project 5 years ago with a very solid project car as it was well stored. Took 5 years but now it's done and just this week had it shipped to my home in California. The first time I've had hands on possession of the car in 35 years. She now occupies my garage here in SoCal. What a great feeling. After all these years! The first car I ever owned is still with me. And here to stay. Plans are some cruising, a few shows, maybe a pass or two at the track. Just pure enjoyment.

I'll post some pics later when I figure out how to do it!

I bet it is a sweet feeling, congrats.

Click the "upload photos" button in the dialog box, find pics on your computer and upload. Can't wait to see her!

This one is a little blurry. Been a long wait, not surprised the camera was shaky!!

Thx so much Steve for posting the pics for me! I have to get proficient at doing so myself.

Wow! That is a beautiful GTX, not taking away from others, but that is an awesome color combo. Hell ya. I am amazed and impressed you managed to keep it for all this time. Congratulations, you have a very, very nice GTX.

Yeah, that Burgundy looks great.

I know many don't like vinyl roofs, but I'm a fan of them. Just put a new one on my own Plymouth, in fact.

Black hood, black roof....ace!!

congrats.... bought my 68 in 85, haven't driven it since 89...... my day will come

Man that is NICE. I am on the phone with the HOA now.

Hopefully you're acting as my attorney and threatening them with legal action if they don't curb these ridiculous rules they have here! I'm going to be burning the midnight oil trying to do anything on the X.

Wow. Looks great - how sweet it is to STILL have your first car. Awesome.

That's absolutely beautiful. The wait is over, now the fun begins!

Great to see your awesome X back home. I can relate, having bought my first X back in 69, (that being 47 years ago now), and my second X, which I bought back in 84, (that being 32 years ago). Although the world seems twisted these days and the old girl is no longer stock, she's still at home where she belongs. Congratulations :)
