Bendix 4 piston caliper issues - need help

Um - maybe I wasn't clear enough.

  • I bought reproduction calipers which appear to be from A1 Cardone as a stopgap solution while my original Bendix 4 piston calipers (from my 1968 Charger R/T) will be sent out to be rebuilt (cleaned up, sleeved and rebuilt with new pistons and seals)

  • I am having issues installing the reproduction calipers

  • I am seeking out a caliper restorer that has familiarity with Bendix 4 piston calipers and with which others have had good experiences

  • I have no intention of sending my original calipers to A1 Cardone.

Update of issues and plan of attack:

  • Reproduction (stopgap) caliper:
    • Bolts:
      • will be using bolts from original calipers while custom fasteners are being made
    • Secondary chamfer in tapped hole that initially housed bleeder
      • having hole in caliper for LH side remachined to proper specs for bubble flare

  • Restoration of original Bendix calipers:
    • Getting quotes (cost and timing) from Goldline, Calipers Online and White Post
