In my experience 255/60-15 if your wheels have 4"+backspacing, if your backspacing is 5"+ you might be able to clear 275/60-15. The outside edge of the inner wheel well has a ridge that sticks out further than wheel lip.

Bought in October if I recall it right. A genuine grandma's car. But this is all about to change. She was built as a "Silver Special," with a black and silver accented interior. And a black with silver highlights vinyl roof. A 318 engine with torque-flight transmission is original, at sixty four thousand miles. She's a nice cruiser, but when done she will be updated with a 440, a 8 3/4 open rear (3:26). I have a pair of eight by fifteen steel rear wheels from Classic Industries, but the front, seven by fifteens have been back ordered for three months, which is holding my progress up. Tire size has yet to be determined. New rear springs, and a front disk brake system from Pirate Jack, is waiting on the front wheels. Plus new suspension/steering components for the front, complete with large diameter torsion bars. She needs a new/rebuilt power steering box. So far the company on the Columbus Ohio area, has my attention. And lastly I have a new tank and sending unit. It will be capped off with a new/repo 67' GTX styled gas door. Any suggestions on the above is appreciated. Thanks

Can't remember if I posted this, I'm getting old. Sold the '66 and this is what I got. Just put in a Firm Feel box stage 2. Have a couple of things to tidy up, but getting there.

I will have to check those wheels out. I changed my barracuda to big bolt pattern

Here are some pic's of my '67 500. Unfortunately it has a few bubbles that cropped up so we will likely be painting it over winter. We are probably going to go to silver instead of the black so I can spend more time driving and less time polishing:lol:. Currently making the switch to TrickFlows and a roller cam so it should be pretty fun once back together.
