Hey guys, what size drums should be on my 67? Should I have 11" on the front and 10" on the rear?

Somebody changed something!!!!!!!!!
Small block cars were equipped with 10" x 2 1/2" ---- Front & Rear ---- same brake shoe ; different brake drum (Front Hub mounts on Front Drum , Rear Drum
slides on) ......
Big Block cars were equipped with 11" x 3" on the front and 11" x 2 1/2" on the Rear .......
If you have 11" on the Front and 10" on the Rear -- it is safe to say (I am POSITIVE nobody "downsized".....)
that the car started in life as a small block car --- 10" Front & Rear, as stipulated -- and then, someone "beefed up" the Front......
Makes sense, eh? Cheers......

or really get creative and put your brake drums in a Bridgeport and cut them down to metric size.:BangHead:

Brake size has not always been collated to engine size. All drums were the same size front and rear.
My 68 RT has original bendix 4 piston up front and 10" drums in rear.

Brake shoe size MOST DEFINITELY --- DOES --- reflect engine size.....
On four wheel drum brake cars --- small block always got 10" Front & Rear from the factory
and big block always got 11" Front & Rear from the factory...
On 1966 - 1969 cars with the Factory Disc Brakes 4 piston Caliper set up -----
the rear drums could be 10" or 11" ..... it was about 50% - 50% .......
some got 11" because they ARE bigger and better --- but others got 10" because they "figured" that with
Front Disc Brakes -- that 10" would be sufficient..... depends on the factory, etc., etc. ---- and all the people
to ask about this ------ Have already passed away.............

Just face it Mopar was alot like McD was.
Get it your way. Window sticker options were guide lines. The dealer could put dam near anything on the car you wanted before delivery or after.
