Hey all,

I was wondering when I install my aftermarket radio( pioneer unit) and speakers will it increase the load on my electrical system enough that I should be worried?

Thanks all

Mikey

No, but it will annoy the next owner who will wish you had left well enough alone.
Why not hide it somewhere and keep the orig?
PM for more info.

No I will mount under dash for easy removal.. I will not be cutting this one up.

Thanks

Mikey

I would say no unless you are installing a big amp and some obnoxious subs!

I recently installed a new aftermarket system in my 70 RR this past spring...has the stock alternator....system has a 5 channel amp in the truck and have not noticed any problem with the charging system. Only pushing around 300 watts...unless you get into a system running a 1000 watts or more should be ok..(as far as I can tell so far anyway)
