Hello All:

Been looking for an affordable B Body to get back into the hobby. This car is unique in that it has factory power disc brakes, but not PS? Anyhow, seriously considering and since I've been away from the B Body hobby since 1997, I'd welcome your inputs.

Thanks for any feedback! Have a nice day, Bill

looks decent, cant buy a junk roller and get it to where the little ripper is, go give him the 20k and you cant lose or squeeze a bit more... or go all in and buy my 70 hemi charger, that is impeccable,, clone done with date code manifolds, intake, carbs, air cleaner.. one of the nicest chargers ive ever seen.

I like that car.

Trailer package with sure grip and disk brakes, plus a 383-4.

Kind of a stealth Roadrunner, with better brakes.

20K seems just a tad on the high side, though:

Hi Bill, my name is Mike. I have a 69 Coronet project for sale that is listed on this site under B bodies for sale, check it out, if interested send me a pm, I live 120 south of Chicago thanks

IF it is what he says it is...doesnt seem too bad.

NOW...he says it's pretty much all original. read: bushings may be shot, along with fuel lines, rubber components etc...

IMHO it would be worth the drive at least to get eyes on it.

Yes, it is worth the 6, or 7 hour drive to check it out. The seller has some strict ground rules that might make getting the car difficult as transport might be the issue. I'm contemplating.

could fly in to Palm Springs too...

what ground rules? if he is a serious seller, he will work with a transport company if you decide to use one.

if he balks, he is full of sh*t and on a fishing expedition only. I would determine that before spending $$$ and going out there.

Well, it's been my experience that any travel less than 1,000 miles it is always better to drive. With erratic airline reliability, the TSA, delays, etc it is even sometimes faster to drive.

The ground rules are CASH $100 bills only, and the car must vacate that day. No cooperation whatsoever with a shipper. He has made himself clear that you play his way, or you don't play at all.

Got another lead on a R/T clone near Sacramento that I might investigate.

Thanks for the advice.

hmmmm....me thinks it smells a bit fishy. but that is only one man's opinion.

IMHO, I would find another car.

I have to agree with MarPar. Also looks like there was a lot of work done in the trunk and possible hack job on lower quarters. If you need seam sealer on the inside of them.

Also just noticed all the fiberglass on the frame rails and inner quarters. Definetly stay away!

On the surface it looks like a pretty decent car. It's what's under the surface I would worry about. It does look like there's been some poor patch work you can tell be views of the inside of the trunk. It doesn't look like the guy is trying to hide anything. He shows nearly every angle of the car in his pics. From which you can tell there's been some work done of not the best quality. I don't know what to tell you - if you're still interested definitely get some serious eyes on the car before making any deals.

With that sellers attitude, I would pass. He thinks he is doing you a big favor by taking your money. I have found that if you pass, something better will show up...keep searching.......................MO
