1971 GTX quarter panel emblem placement

I need some help with the placement of the GTX QP emblems. My quarters were repaired and the original holes are gone. I stupidly forgot to take the measurements and I am hoping someone here can help me out with the exact placement measurements.

My '71 doesn't have the emblems installed yet. It's in storage, I can get there tomorrow or Thursday and get you measurements. If you want, PM me your address and I will make a cardboard template and send it to you.

Make sure that you take measurements for both sides. The holes are not in the same place on each side. The passenger side is a lot more forward than the driver side. Don't ask me how I know this.:eek:

Well $#!+ my holes are the same on both sides- obviously wrong! When I got it, it had a 1/4 replaced and was already painted. Looks like I'll need 71GTX's measurements also!

So now I am a bit confused. It seems these measurements are all over the place. I have tried looking at images online and there are so many variations of the placements. Some of the higher dollar restorations look to be placing both sides at the same position and I even got some measurements from a guy in the Netherlands who has a pretty original GTX that has different measurements for each side "Passengers side first hole from door opening 105 millimeters to center. driver side 60 millimeters and 120 millimeters from body line both sides." I really want to know your measurements to see how things line up. I would hate for my body guy to install these incorrectly !

The emblems are in the same location on each side, but the holes are different because of the offset of the attaching pins. Both sides use the same emblem, so you have to stagger the holes to get the proper placement of the emblems.
