Goodyear Eagle ST tires

This is just the reason I went to 16s, the market for 15s is too small.

14's and 15's in RWL in many widths and in 50, 60 and 70 aspect ratios from at least three manufacturers are available almost overnight from many ebay sellers, at prices competitive or better than wal mart and local tire stores.

I paid $100 each for cooper cobra 235 60 14 shipping included from discount tire online (same company as retail stores) and the 275 50 15 set I need for the back is $115 each IIRC.

Note that both cooper and master craft have better speed, traction and treadwear rating than the repro goodrich TA.

Don't do it! What 65-440 said.

Tires usually have a date code somewhere? Don't buy old rubber as stated! Big boom waiting to happen! New Goodyear tires available all over the place.

$1000 for old rubber? I think not, unless you want an expensive blowout .....
If I was running a tire store I would be very reluctant to mount tires this old because of the liability involved. I wouldn't buy any tire that was over a year old JMHO.

XP29H, "New Goodyear tires available all over the place". No tire dealers I have found have "new" Goodyear RWL 60 series tires, lots of black walls and mostly 18-20 rims. Where are those new ones you say are all over?

As far as running old tires, I wont be. Just love the looks of the old GYs and just want them for displaying show car. Safety is priority, I have Z rated on the car running high end, drag tires for drag racing and good ol' NEW BFGs for cruising. In my opinion coopers are not an option as were not available in the day and such and others just such shout "cheep a$$". JMO
