HELP
Is there anyone that can help me with information on an installation of a 2014 dodge tk 5.7
and auto trans or 2014 challenger 5.7 and 6 sp into a 70" car????? Has anyone done this???
The reason I would like to know is the availability of the engines and transmissions, but don't want to put money in them and then not be able to use them. I have seen some threads on some of the earlier engines and transmission installations but not the later ones. My basic concern is the electrical part and changes for the driveability of the engine and transmission.

Thank You to anyone that can HELP or point me in the right direction.

I'm not aware of anyone in the aftermarket that makes a harness for the new 8spd. auto, but if anyone can or does, it would be Hotwireauto.com would be the place to call. Doing the 6spd. stick isn't a big deal, but you'll need to cut the tunnel and tb crosmember, might have to do it with the 8spd. auto also. Call Chris at Hotwireauto.com and he can help ya out.

5.7 hemi and Mike67

Thank You both, it seems I should purchase the 2014 Challenger engine and 6 speed or maybe option for an earlier trans for on the 2014 truck engine. I'm sure by swapping transmissions could cause a wiring problem with the original wiring harness on the truck engine. I am not knowledgeable on the different tranmissions used on the 3rd gen Hemi's and could use some guidance on what trans would be the best to use. The car for the installation was an original 4 speed to start with, the auto would be nice but the 6 speed would also be OK. The fabrication and installation would be no problem for me, it is getting the electronics working properly, and good advice on somebody that has done it before.

Thanks again to both of you and any more information you can give me will be appreciated.

The only thing about the electronics (harness) is you'll need to hook up a few wires and the rest is plug/play. Any small block trans will bolt up, 727, 904, A833 with bell housing. Do be afraid of the harness, your wallet might be (1k) but it's super simple to install. I would go with the trans that comes behind the engine, either 6spd., or the 8spd. auto.

What all components will I need from the donor vehicle???

1 Wiring harness's engine and transmission Any others ??
2 engine and transmission controller,s
3 Gas pedal Drive by wire
4 Is there any other pieces I would need ????

Thanks To All
Jeff
