Im looking into changing my radiator as I see some coolant sweating from the bottom and also theres no fan shroud, radiator is 23inches with the core so Im not able to find a shroud for it.

any heads up or links for an aftermarket radiator would be appreciate.

also, do I leave the clutch fan or electric fans would be better?

Car: 1968 Coronet 440

Thank you

If you are not looking for correct #s matching stuff go with the Champion stuff on the Bay. I put a 22 incher in the 68 and it works fine with no shroud an a clutch fan. Lots of vendors and free ship from most.

X2 on Champion I'm using one on my car and it works great. Lifetime warranty too!

I'll look into champion. Any other suggestions?

Ideally I'd really like to have a shroud back on

It has provisions for the stock shroud too. You just need to find one.

Get it recored and buy a shroud. Ma knew how to keep them cool with copper. Make sure that the thermal fan is working properly. A new Hayden is really not that expensive and may be a good time to replace it. Critical. I recommend green coolant and a 180 Stant Superstat from Napa.

The recore cost me $400 and the shroud $100. So get your wallet. Maybe less in your location.

Ditto Dennis, but if you really want to go aluminum with a shroud, Wizard.

Griffin exact fit, OEM look.

I bought a year one "replica" of my oem 26" radiator without the numbers on the top. Looks just like the original and fit perfectly! I've since added a fan shroud.

I went with:
Classic Industries FL5718 18" fan $44.99
Classic Industries MB2357A 26" alminum radiator 399.99
Mancini Racing P2785435 fan shroud $130.95

I live in southeastern AZ and I have driven the car in town on 100 degree plus days and no issues with overheating. FYI, I am running a 318.

A few years ago, I installed a Year One radiator on a car & the engine then ran dangerously hot. (simple replacement, no other changes). Will never use a radiator from Year One again.

Just got back from a radiator shop they wanted $400 to recore my 63 BB.
The place was worse than a junk yard and I had to wake the guy up to show it to him.
I put it back in my truck and left.

Yep, slippery floors. Super-Fund site in waiting.

Skip the Wizard, had to send mine back twice, once for a cracked rad cap mount and then when I got it back it leaked. Then had to ask to have the shipping cost from Canada to the U.S refunded several times.

Car still runs hot in traffic, wasn;t worth the hype.

It's not cheap but the guys at Glen Ray where very helpful in answering questions in general, way better customer support it seems.

My only advice is You get what you pay for. Radiators are not rocket science. Like Dennis said, the engineers at Mopar knew what they were doing. I've had 2 radiators from US Radiator and they both were well made cooled and didn't leak.
I had one Champion that didn't cool and was cheaply made. But hey, I saved a few bucks with it.
