so just found out that my 69 gtx has the factory air grabber option with the 440....

Does this add any additional resale value?

You just found out?
You mean the car came with the option but the equipment isn't currently installed?

exactly.....the car was shipped from florida. i bought it sight unseen. it went right from the hauler to the shop to get fixed up........ it was dark when it arrived so i couldnt give it a good look over.... the inside has been torn apart at the shop. i finally got into the under driver side of the dash and saw the lever for the air grabber....... pig in poop reaction!!!!

it is missing the components under the hood for the air grabber

Do you have the hood? The underhood components, including air cleaner, come available on here occasionally. The big thing is the hood.
Congratulations!

pretty sure I have the correct hood.....it has insulation on the underside....do i need to take that off to check??

Yeah, I am quite sure that's not the correct hood. No Air Grabber I've seen has insulation of any kind. Does the topside have the scoops/vents? Maybe the Air Grabber hardware was removed but they left the hood?

It has the red air scoops on the side. the insulation was most likely an add on as it also came with an unsilenced air breather which is incorrect......

Well, that's going to save you a few bucks!

its about time.....i feel like tom hanks in the money pit...
my dash harness just went up in smoke today......literally:)

Figure close to $1000 for the N96 "Air Grabber" components. That's what kept me from adding it to mine. Yours might be slightly less since you have the correct hood intakes, but anyway you look at it, it is not a cheap replacement

I don't have the fender tag or build sheet....
Any help where to find that info??

Where it has no fender tag or build sheet you can add anything you like and make the car how you like it. No one can say it needs to be this way or that way. It's how you want it, enjoy your car and have fun with it. Having a tag & build sheet makes it more desirable' but keeps you in a box of what you can or can't do with out getting told you didn't do it right. Hope i helped you out with your question.

I got the original build cards for my 67 GTX from the Chrysler Historical Society. I don't know it they can do a 69 or not. Minimal fee of $40 or $60 involved. Reproduction fender tags are available from several suppliers, once you have the build data, but I know that is a touchy subject to some. It is not as good as an original, but better than nothing. I think they run about $170 to have made. If you make up a fender tag that does not match the build data, that is where the controversy starts. Is your car an original B5 blue car? Lots of cars this age have had a color change and B5 blue is one of the most popular to change to. That color just absolutely just pops on the body lines of the 68 and 69's.
