Just purchased a 69 Roadrunner yesterday from a gentleman here in Colorado and am excited to get the restoration started!

Throughout this build I welcome any advice which you guys may have. Here is what she looks like now.

451 Stroker Engine.

Great start to being a runner owner.I see you have a black and silver guts. The vin should read h2s for that. Do you want one already done?

That is a good looking project, congrats!
Looks like there is already a new trunk floor in place.

Thank You all for the kind words. Hope to get it started this fall. I will make sure to update with photos through the process.

Quick question for the Mopar restoration experts. What are some of the best online sources to buy RR part from? I am thinking everything from quarter panels, lower quarter panels, door panels (inside), dash items, etc?

beatboy 77, congratulations on your new ride! Please know that I'm not a restoration expert and that my advice is based on my own experiences/ failures. I'm sure that you already know this stuff, so this is reinforcement/ reminder.

I made a mistake not keeping all of the parts that I took off of the car! Even if you have the replacement parts in hand, the original components hold many installation clues. If you're gluing the trunk seal in place, the old one shows which surfaces were glued. Ask me how I know this.

It is not possible to take enough photos during disassembly. This would seam simple but it's not. 3-5 years later when you're reassembling the mountain of parts, the photos will be better than your memory.

Store the photos in an organized location that is backed up. A 1000 photos dumped in one folder are pretty much worthless. It took me a while to figure that one out.....DUH. I also lost a bunch due to my own stupidity and that cost me many hours during assembly.

On the parts side I've had good luck with AMD, Classic and Legendary. In my experience a cleaned/restored original part always fits, a reproduction not so much.

For what it's worth, Brian.

I ordered almost all my AMD sheetmetal parts through Summit Racing. Find the part # on AMDs website and search it on Summit. Free shipping over $100 orders. I have got plenty of other parts from 521 Restorations and like their service.

Along with pictures, keep notes and receipts in a folder. I try to sketch out how stuff came apart, locations of trim holes, and measurments.

Josh, I am also excited to watch this restoration. Welcome, I have been learning how to restore my car from the help from those knowledgeable on this site.
You have a good car to start with.

So the car Gods are playing with me....lol

Just purchased this car last Friday and low and behold a 69 Charger R/T (numbers matching) project I have been after for some time became mine yesterday.

The Charger will take priority over the RR. Should I aim to do both or would it be best to sell the RR?

Opinions welcomed.

That is a hard choice. I have had several car projects through the years. The one car that I always wanted was a charger but I could not get the one I wanted so I got other projects. Then I would come across one better so I thought that I could do both cars. Then I got the car that I wanted and kept the others to complete some day. Long story short, the other cars started to clutter up and I never got to them. They slowed down my progress so I finally sold them and it cleared things up, gave me room to work, and money to focus on my preferred car. I figured that I could always buy a car like one of those that I sold later, when I was done, if I still really wanted it. You may have more room, money, and be better organized than I am and be able to do two cars. This is just my thoughts.
I would really like to watch you build ether one but I like the sounds of you doing that charger R/T.

Thank You for the ideas!

Probably makes more sense to sell this RR and focus on the Charger.
