78 Monaco needs Master Cyl/booster, favorite brands ?

Looking at what is offered at RockAuto, Cardone, Raybestos, Centric and Dorman, any one better than the other? While I am at it think I should swap out the booster (double diaphragm) on this old car with 104k miles on it? Thanks guys!
 
Have fun standing on your head to do the booster. lol Just did mine on a 77 also. Have used Cardone and dorman in the past. Found out many others use several suppliers to cover one sku...so pending the day of the week you could get 2 completely diff m cylinders.
Ordered one specifically bc the image was an aluminum mc. And a 20lb iron monster was in the box. Got the above explanation when I called....as a performance parts supplier I was less than happy with that explanation.
 
Thank you, I ended up going with a Cardone booster and their select MC with a lifetime warranty for a few bucks more. Figured it might be worth it. Standing on my head huh? So you are saying I have an easy job ahead of me?
 
I have done funner jobs in my life. Lol
The bolts to take the booster loose are Burried up under the dash. Plus my car has buckets so not as relaxing as spreading out on a bench.
both ears on the mc bracket pointed toward the passenger...so the inner one you can barely get a socket or ratchet wrench on.
Its not the worst thing ever...but not your standard spark plug change.

By the way im johnny from pace performance. Nice to meet ya. I have tons of performance parts on the shelf for these if you need any help.

I am having a little issue when starting the engine once it is warm. It takes a few cranks and I need to learn how much pedal to hold down. Is that normal? Been a long time since I drove a car this old. She fires up on the first crank when cold. Ain't that half the battle?
 
probably has a cast iron intake manifold w/a heat crossover under the carb. could be getting the carb a little too warm. combined with components that may or may not be 40 years old, like a carb with sticky needles, or a weak fuel pump... may be experiencing fuel evap. coil may even get weak when hot...kind of hard to say without seeing it and running some tests. better to do some troubleshooting unless it's a mild project that you're probably going to throw a new distributor, fuel pump, etc at.
