just bought this 74 roadrunner 360 4-speed 83/4 my plan was to use the drive train in my 73 340 4-speed roadrunner, but after getting it home and getting it to run the car is a lot more solid than i first thought it would be,i bought the 74 off ebay thinking all i need is the drivetrain, after picking the car up the floors frame rails are very solid most outter sheetmetal needs replaced, the floors and rails still have the original paint (green) on them.looking into it a little more the 74 is 1of 347 360 4-peeds made in 74 making it kinda rare.thinking of selling my 73 340 4speed roller and redo this one.has title and fender tag.

Very cool!! That's a rare bird for sure. It's a shame the body is rusted... but it could be saved. What does your '73 look like? I had a '73 340 auto years ago and it was a fun car to drive. I'd like to find another one some day.

I almost bid on that one.

Cool car.

A bit too far of a drive for me.

Glad it went to a good home.

I would keep the 340 car. Rarity aside, 340 cars are worth more than 360 cars. If the cars were mine, I'd use the 74 as a parts car for the 73.

just tore the carpet out of the 74 360 car floors are nice 1 small pin hole on the passenger side, otherwise still have green paint on them.the outer rust isnt that bad fenders doors and lower quarters is all it needs,i have a nice deck lid for it,this is the 73 a rolling project but is very solid

who asked you, nobody thats who seems some opinions are best left to your self!

I had the same dilemma some years back and the decision to go with the 340 was a better one. Also the options on the 73 were way better from the factory. Your two 4 speeds seem to be equipped the same. Forget what they have now. What do the fender tags say they should have? Bringing that into the equation may help you decide.

Congratulations on your "find"
I always "LOVED" the fuselage body style
Yes, I "followed" the herd and avoided them for many years but to me, it is a GREAT BODY STYLE
