Ok, so this is probably just a "vent" but has anyone tried to find an original console tach for a '66 500? My car doesn't have that option but I thought it might be cool to "retrofit" one. Anyway, after seeing two of these in very questionable condition at Moparfest (New Hamburg) I'm feeling pretty much defeated. The first one I looked at had no wiring and the cast in mount was broken off, the second one had the boss & wiring, both of them cosmetically poor. Asking price? ONLY $400. each and I don't even know if they worked! Guess I don't want one that bad. Does anyone repop these things or is that just another replacement quarter panel dream?

I mounted an aftermarket tach with shift light on my console......even though I have the sending unit under it for the factory and I believe my Son has a tach... but I like the newer version better as the old only goes to 6k

I'm dealing with a 318 Poly, so "only" going to 6K rpm doesn't affect me too much....LOL

I bought one for my 68 Dart GTS, even tho it didn't come with it. No.. I don't think they repop them, and yes ...a good one id expensive. I got this one from a neighbor vendor to me at Carlisle. Practically NOS.
