Does any one know of a paint color to simulate the bare steel look for the upper control arms? I've been told they left the factory unpainted. (1963 PLYMOUTH)

Blast them and use flat clear. Just a idea.

Years ago I was supposed to invent a paint that looked like "bare concrete". Once I started working on it I quickly realized that there were HUNDREDS of different shades of "bare concrete"..... "bare steel" will be the same thing.

So you have two choices. #1 - pick a paint color that looks like "bare steel" to you and go with it. #2- sandblast your control arms & paint them with clear.

Eastwood silver exhaust manifold paint looks good for years but might not cure without heat.

I was thinking about blasting mine and clearing them too.
