ok so priceless is a bit overstated. What's a good price for avg condition 64 A-833?

I'm gonna be honest, I have had, what I think to be a worthless 4spd, 1964 Ball and Trunion 70 lb. paperweight in my garage for 4 years. I'm looking to sell it to help fund my engine build, but I have no idea what to price it.. I can't recall the last one I even saw for sale (but I'm a 68-70 guy so maybe just not looking in the right places).

Not looking to gouge anyone, just trying to determine if more or less value than a standard slip joint 833.

Any input is appreciated

i have the similar trans for my 65, im going to just swap out the tail shaft and related parts and convert it to a slip yoke style.

i dont think they are totally worthless, if its in serviceable condition gotta be at least 400-500$

I paid 500.00 for one not long ago...doing a 4 speed conversion to my 64 Sport Fury. The previous owner was going to use it in a 65 Belvedere but sold the car. He had the case powder coated...it's a nice clean unit. One of the reason I bought it is the price of the slip yokes I looked at were a lot higher and some needed work.
Noticed your in Tampa...I'm in Ocala. Maybe you should think about brining it to the Garlits show in November to sell.

Thanks guys, that gives me a sense of it. I'm thinking I'll post it here and locally for $400.

And I will be going again this year to Garlits, I got a bunch of parts, maybe it's time for a booth :)

It's maybe a $150-200 core tops. You can get a completely rebuilt 64-5, B&T style transmission through Passon Performance for $1095. Spending 4-500 for a used unit is a gamble.

There is one for sale down the road for $350 that is said tobe in usable condition.

Said to be in useable condition... doesn't sound very warm and fuzzy to me. We're talking 50 year old transmissions.
