New "garage" in the works

Siding was completed last week. Now it's starting to look like something.

Why did you use the smaller size siding over the garage farthest to the right in the pic?

We used two different styles of siding; clapboards and shingles on purpose. The shed roof addition portion was done in clapboards, while the gambrel portion of the original building was done in shingles. It gives it a bit of character while maintaining the original gambrel shape of the house. You can see it in particular on the front. We also had the dormers sided with shingles on the face and clapboards on the sides.

There's a chicken on your roof.... is a rooster if you want to get technical about it.

Does your elevator go all the way up? :)

Looks real nice. Now you won't have to wonder if your zipper's down when someone says, "Richard, your barn door's open."

what an awesome place RC. maybe i missed it, but what size is the lot you're situated on?

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. Submit & I are really looking forward to the day when we can actually move in. The progress over the past 9 months has been painfully slow, but from this point forward, I would expect that insulation, drywall, trim, floors, etc should go like clockwork; however, I've got to have a chat with the builder this week just to make sure that he has everyone lined up and try to knuckle him for a completion date. While the job is taking much longer than expected, I do have to say that the quality of the work is top notch and that is the most important thing.
