im looking to get lug nuts for the Newport...drivers side is LH thread (and NO im not changing them to RH) and pass side is RH thread.

1/2"-20 13/16" hex-end...

I've found two different types; a regular 60* acorn lug nut and a 60* bulge acorn nut.

I will be using MoPar steel cop rims. My question is, should I get the regular or the bulge lug nuts?

same overall length, but the shoulder on the bulge looks to have more clamping area

And the acorns are for steel wheels as far as I remember

Your car, make yourself happy. Buy a set of each. Put a couple on and decide which you like better. BTW, The bulge can stop a deep well from contacting the paint on the wheels.

i am curious about left lugs and right hand lugs debate does it matter if you just use standard lug nuts?

The bulge type nuts have more contact area if your holes are a little oversize from wear or whatever.

If you get stuck, I have a whole box of standard left hand lug nuts (open end, not chrome) missing 1 lug nut. I think I have 20-25 of them. I had to buy a whole box to get one since I was too lazy to pull apart my fresh brake job to change the stud.

Thanks for the offer, Beeper. I think I may have a source for the acorn nuts though. I would like to go with the acorns cuz Im putting cop rims on, and I dont think it would look right with the open end nuts.

i am going to change wheels to the magnum 500 wheels,so are there lugs for their wheels safe?will they make good contact to wheels?

Johnny, I had Magnum 500's on my GTX for 6 years and I used regular olde acorn nuts and they were fine.

Provided the seat where the taper goes into isnt ovaled or damaged.

Acorns, Both of my cars have steelies with acorns(open end)...no worries and no problems
